warranty info needed

I have a JD 4300 that is still in its 2 year warranty time frame. I am the not the original owner of it and was wondering, after reading the warranty terms in the operators manual that it is warranteed to the original purchaser, if this still applies to me being the second owner of it. I would think that it would, still being in the warranty period. Has anyone else had to deal with this issue and how was it handeled. I have a few items on it I would like to be taken care of while I could , if I can. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks
